Each painting is a striking representation of the concept of "flow," with unique and dynamic abstract shapes and patterns that invite the viewer to explore. The use of bold and fluid forms creates an illusion of movement, as though the shapes are dancing across the canvas.

Digital Interference

The "Digital Interference" series explores the connections between nature and her ultimate predecessor, technology.
Each artwork starts out as a real-world abstract painting that is processed through a number of computer actions to create the final result.

About

Greetings, I'm Matt, an artist based in Cornwall, UK, specializing in abstract art but with a keen interest in illustration. My artistic journey began in Cape Town, South Africa, influenced by my father, a painter and picture framer. In 2018, I ventured into abstract painting, initially facing challenges but leveraging setbacks to experiment with digital manipulation and hybrid images. During the pandemic, I embraced the world of crypto and found a niche in the 1/1 art scene on Solana, where I began selling my art in April 2022.My artistic process is intuitive and rooted in spontaneity, typically initiated without a predefined plan. I start with strokes, textures, or colours and allow the piece to evolve naturally, embracing experimentation and aiming for uniqueness in each creation. My work reflects the dynamic interplay between physical and digital realities, driven by the intriguing and sometimes unsettling aspects of contemporary existence, such as the rise of Artificial Intelligence. This exploration fuels my artistic inspiration, leading me to question fundamental aspects of human existence.Inspired by the intersection of physical and digital realms, my art delves into the colourful, chaotic, and expressive landscape of my inner world. Using digital media, I create abstract pieces exploring diverse themes and concepts, captivated by the universe's complexity, the randomness of the human condition, and aiming to convey emotions of curiosity, wonder, confusion, and anxiety.I wish for my art to challenge viewers to discover meaning and beauty within chaos or question their own perceptions of reality. It serves as a subjective and open-ended expression of my thoughts and emotions, inviting each viewer to interpret it uniquely. If you'd like to learn more about my work or creative process, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @acidhatmat.
